Bar condemns ‘excesses’ by forces in Gahind village

Srinagar: J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar Sunday condemned the use of bullets and pellets by the government forces against the civilians at Gahind village of Shopian.
In a statement, Bar said: On Saturday around twenty civilians were injured with pellets, out of whom four had critical injuries and had to be referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, for specialised treatment.
The Bar also condemned the thrashing of two boys by the army at Laiser, Rafiabad in Baramulla on April 11 and demanded that the FIR registered by the police in this behalf should be investigated and the culprits be brought to book at the earliest.
“We also requests the International Human Rights Originations to play their role effectively in stopping the grave human rights violations in Kashmir,” the statement said.
