Protests erupt against army for thrashing youth in north Kashmir

Baramulla: Protests broke out in Laser village of Rafiabad Baramulla after army soldiers thrashed two youth allegedly for not casting votes.
Eyewitness said that large number of people of Laser village took to the streets this afternoon and staged a protest against the army for thrashing two boys, Adil Ahmad Rather and Tariq Ahmad Rather. Both were shifted to a hospital.
Locals said that army soldiers stopped their vehicle and checked their fingers and questioned them why they didn’t not votes in elections. They started beating them them resulting in injuries to them.
This triggered protests and locals people blocked the Baramulla Kupwara road. Meanwhile, a police team reached the spot but the protest was going on when this report filled.
