Sanctions relief for injured personnel; Reward for CRPF officer for foiling weapon snatching
JAMMU: Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh has complimented the J&K Police and other government forces personnel for their coordinated efforts in conducting the 1st phase of parliamentary elections in the state.
He sanctioned welfare relief for the police personnel who were injured during law and order duty in the poll bound areas of different districts.
The DGP Friday visited Sher-i- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura to enquire about the welfare of injured personnel admitted in the hospital.
He was accompanied by IGP Kashmir S.P Pani and DIG CKR Srinagar V K Birdhi.
DGP also distributed welfare relief among the injured personnel. He directed local police to detail attendants who could help them in the hospital.
Singh also sanctioned a reward of Rs 10000 for an ASI of CRPF for foiling a weapon snatching attempt at Warpora.
