SRINAGAR: Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Prof Javed Musarrat on Tuesday launched online admission process for all diploma, graduate and post-graduate academic programs from 2019 onwards.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Musarrat said that this initiative would make the admission process more transparent, easy and accessible for students. “The online admission process responds to the evolving needs of globalization and reflects BGSBU’s commitment to drive innovation and deliver beyond our geographic location,” he said.
Prof Musarrat congratulated the team members of CITES for their efforts in the designing and development of the online portal for admissions.
Earlier, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Iqbal Parvez presented a brief overview of the admission process for the forthcoming academic session. He said that the online admission process will help in developing a database of the students and will also facilitate in regulating the admission in more transparent manner.
Prof Iqbal termed the initiative as a historic moment in the life of BGSBU and said that the online admission process will pave way for aspirants across the country to join BGSBU in various fields of study.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar, Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri said that the online process will not only help to streamline the admission process, but will also make it easier and hassle free. He said that the university is committed to create state of art facilities to develop BGSBU as a melting pot for the knowledge seekers across the globe.
A varsity statement issued here said the applicants will now be able to submit their application forms online and receive instant confirmation for successful submission of their application forms through email. “The online admission facility can be accessed on official website of the university www.bgsbu.ac.in,” it said.
Dean Engineering Prof Mohammed Asghar, Dean of Students Prof G M Malik, Dean Management Studies Prof Naseem Ahmed, Director CBS Prof Shujaudin, Controller of Examination Mohammad Ishaq, heads and officers of the university were also present on the occasion.
