JAMMU: The National Conference OBC Cell co-chairman, Abdul Gani Teli on Thursday urged people to strengthen secular forces for initiating a new era of progress and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Time has come when we must say no to politics of hate and intolerance, which has caused immense harm to the sensitive state,” Teli said while addressing workers here this afternoon, the statement said.
Referring to the ongoing process of election to the Lok Sabha, Teli urged the people to vote for Raman Bhalla for Jammu-Poonch parliamentary seat as per the decision of National Conference leadership.
He said National Conference has all along rejected the reactionary and communal forces. The party, he said, stands for singularity of the State and equal opportunities of progress and development its distinct three regions and their sub-regions.
“We will fight with our full might the attempts of polarising the people with an eye on elections”, he said, adding that National Conference will keep the flag of amity and brotherhood aloft at all costs.
