Srinagar: Muslim League on Monday paid homage to the militants killed in an encounter with the government forces in Lassipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to a statement, the spokesman said a high level delegation of the party led by party general secretary M. Rafiq Ganaie visited Lasipora and expressed heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families.
Ganaie on the occasion said, “New Delhi instead of taking measures to resolve long pending Kashmir issue in its historical perspective, wants to thrust their choice through barrel of gun.”
“Our youth are leaving their homes, relatives and shining careers for the grace and glory of nation and Ummah and offering supreme sacrifices of their lives. We as a mature nation need to understand the importance of these huge and sacred sacrifices and should renew our pledge to continue the march till the goal is achieved. Sacrifices of these youth are giving a new impetus to the ongoing freedom struggle.” he said.
Ganaie said that “the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir is the result of the stubbornness and illogical approach of New Delhi. The irrational policies of GoI towards the Kashmir issue are the main factors behind such bloodshed going on in the region since decades together”.
He urged New Delhi to realise the ground and find out a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute.
