BANDIPORA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora SKUAST-Kashmir on Monday conducted 13th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting here.
On the occasion, Director Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir at KVK Campus Patushai, Bandipora, Prof Mushtaq Ahmad advised that KVK should expand its area of work in entire agriculture sector involving horticulture, livestock, apiculture, sericulture, fisheries etc. for the benefit of farming community, an official handout read.
Programme Coordinator, KVK Bandipora, Peerzada Shafat Hussain Deewani briefed about the KVK activities for the year 2018-19 and proposed action plan of the year 2019-20. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, who stressed for coordination among all allied departments, read the handout.
Tehsildar Bandipora, Rouf Iqbal attended the meeting as special invitee while as, Chief Agricultural Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Qasim Ghani and other officers of the line departments give their inputs regarding extension needs in their disciplines.
Progressive farmers including women also attended the meeting and shared their experiences with KVK and its activities in the district, it added.
