ML condemns slapping of PSA on party leader

Srinagar: Muslim League on Sunday condemned the slapping of PSA on party leader – M. Akram Najar.
In a statement, ML termed it an example of “political vendetta”.
ML general secretary M. Rafiq Ganaie said, “Najar was arrested by Kralgund police station and was kept there for almost 20 days. Later, he was shifted to sub-jail Kupwara and was there for two months. After spending two months in sub-jail Kupwara, he was brought to police station Drugmulla and was slapped with PSA and shifted to Jammu jail.”
He said: “These oppressive measures can’t break the resolve of resistance camp and instead will further strengthen their resolve to fight for the resolution of Kashmir.”
“Delhi by displaying the might can’t break the resolve of people of Kashmir neither can the international community be kept in dark for long now,” he said.
He said that incarceration of ML chairman Masrat Aalam, M Yousuf Mir, Ab Ahad Parra, Assadullah Parray, M Akram Najar, Bashir A Budgami, Showkat Hakeem, Mehrajuddin Nanda, Sajad Molvi, M Hayat Bhat , M yousuf Bhat, and others is human rights violation.
He said authorities are deliberately prolonging their detention by booking them in “baseless” charges.
