Bandipora: The District Election Officer Bandipora has suspended four teachers and one Nambardar in Bandipora for violating the election model code conduct (MCC).
In suspension orders issued here, the four teachers from Gurez and Bandipora have been suspended and attached with the office of additional deputy commissioner pending further inquiry.
The order states, “A complaint has been received through MCMC (Media certification and Monitoring Committee) against three teachers, namely, Asadullah Lone, Mohammad Yousuf Khan and Showkat Hussain Sheikh, teachers at schools Granthala Tulail, RRT Khan Mohalla Tulail and Quil Muqam Bandipora, respectively.”
It further said, “All the three teachers have been found involved in violation of MCC. Pending inquiry into the matter, following teachers have been placed under suspension with immediate effect”.
In the other order regarding the misconduct of service rules by a teacher in Tulail, the DEO suspended Ghulam Qadir, government primary school teacher from Kudhara in Bandipora,vfollowing complaints from a local Sarpanch.
The suspension order issued by the DEO said, “Teacher was not attending the duties and instead is campaigning for Congress political party and harassing locals.”
“Following inquiry”, the statement added, the “teacher is placed under suspension with immediate effect and is attached to the office of ADC”.
The DEO also suspended one Nambardar from Markoot village of Dawar after “the Naib Tehsildar who is also a member of the team of flying MCC squad provided the video clips of Namberdar Mohammad Akhoon in which he was seen speaking in the public rally of Peoples Conference in main chowk Dawar Gurez”.
In the order, the DEO stated that “the Nambardar has clearly violated the model code of conduct and is thus placed under suspension with immediate effect following pending inquiry”.
Only two days ago, the DEO had suspended Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr Bilques, and Block Medical Officer Bandipora Dr Sayed Rahman for violating MCC and service rules for attending a National Conference workers’ meet and attached them to the office of ADC till further inquiry.
