Srinagar: Foundation World School conducted a talent search programme titled Foundation Scholarship Test (FST) 2019 for students in grade 5 for the award of scholarship at its main campus located at Mamath, Budgam on Sunday.
“The scholarship test was aimed to provide a platform to students who are in grade 5 studying in different school. This was an opportunity for low income as well as meritorious students to secure their position to study in what is first of its kind in Kashmir, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) board. The curriculum is based on to develop and impart 21st century skills to children,” the statement said.
“As a part of our social responsibility, we have started an annual scholarship for both meritorious and underprivileged students to study Cambridge curriculum in FWS. The school have started the scholarship programme this year and is offering 5 seats each to underprivileged and meritorious students of class 5th,” said Director, FWS.
The yearly scholarship programme offered by FWS is based upon the candidate’s performance at the entrance examination and subsequent interview. The evaluation criteria are separate for children applying in the underprivileged category and for meritorious students.
Over a hundred students from different schools and districts registered and appeared in the entrance test, the statement added.
