JKLF condemns arrest spree, nocturnal raids

Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Wednesday condemned the arrest spree and nocturnal raids on pro-freedom leaders across Kashmir.
The spokesperson in a statement said: “Vice chairman of JKLF Showkat Ahmad Bakshi has been arrested by the police and shifted to police station Kothibagh. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik is also languishing in police custody from February 22. Senior members Mushtaq Ahmad Korag and many others are also in police custody from last many days.”
“Police has conducted raids on other leaders including JKLF leader Mushtaq Ahmad Khan,” he said.
The statement further said that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed grief over the demise of Habibullah Andrabi. Terming the passing away of Andrabi as a personal loss, Malik prayed for his heavenly abode.
