Kidnapping case solved in Budgam: Police

BUDGAM: Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
A police spokesperson in statement said that on January 15 the family of a minor girl stating that she had gone missing from her home along with her younger sibling filed a missing report in police station Khag.
Both of the siblings (brother and sister) were missing from home and were allegedly kidnapped by a cab driver, he said.
Accordingly, a case with FIR No 15/2019 U/S 363, 109 RPC was registered in concerned police station and investigation was taken up.
After tireless efforts by police, the accused was arrested and the duo minor siblings were recovered from Ghaziabad, he said.
In the preliminary investigation, various suspects were rounded up for questioning and various suspect places were raided by police, however, no leads were made possible.
Finally, after putting strenuous efforts the sibling duo were traced by police in Ghaziabad and immediately police party lead by an officer was rushed to Ghaziabad and the siblings were recovered and accused was arrested and produced before Court.
Meanwhile, the family has hailed the efforts of the police, he added.
