Sensitisation camp on JJ Act held in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: District Child Protection Officer Ganderbal on Wednesday organised awareness cum sensitisation programme regarding implementation of Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act in the conference hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
The programme was organised under the Chairmanship of Principle District & Session Judge Mohammad Yousuf Wani and Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal.
Among other dignitaries Chief Judicial Magistrate, DCPO and officers of various departments participated in the workshop.
The main aim and objective of the workshop was to sensitive various departments regarding the child protection service for convergence and working together for the child Rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Principle District and Session Judge highlighted the importance of JJ Act, role of Juvenile Justice Board and stated that the public should be more vigilant and aware of assault or harassment cases and such awareness programme can help the people combat such cases.
The ADDC stressed for imparting knowledge and information through awareness programmes, workshops etc in such a way that the public can easily understand the steps and procedures required while tackling assaults and other cases.
