Srinagar: Majlis Ittehad-e-Millat led by Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam on Sunday condemned the attacks on Kashmiris and Muslims in Jammu.
“The police provided open support to the rioters,” Majlis said in a statement.
“The stone throwers were given full shelter by the police while targeting the properties of Muslims in different areas of Jammu and at some places, the Mosques too were targeted. The rioters were raising provocative slogans against the Kashmiri Muslims but the administration played the role of the mute spectator during this whole orchestrated attack,” they alleged.
They added: “It seemed to be a well thought-out plan to force the migration of Muslims from Jammu and then occupy their properties forcibly”.
Majlis Ittehad-e-Millat J&K also condemns the attacks on Kashmiri students and traders in various cities. Majlis while expressing concern over “the suppression of Kashmiri Muslims by the hooligans” asked the international human rights organizations to come to the rescue of the people of Kashmir.
