Srinagar: Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS), a civil society group, on Thursday criticised the government order of granting 3% reservation to the residents of villages along the border.
The group called upon the President of India and GoI to replace the Governor Satya Pal Malik “as his continued presence in office has set the state on fire by promoting regional disharmony”, the statement said.
“An emergency meeting of KCSDS was held here to discuss the latest order of the administration granting 3% reservation to the residents of boundaries at par with those living in villages near LOC,” it reads.
While demanding immediate ouster of the Governor, the members said that ever since the Governor assumed his responsibilities, “he has behaved most irresponsibly”.
KCSDS appealed to political parties and civil society of India to support the civil society of Kashmir in their demand for replacement of Governor Malik.
