DGP sanctions scholarship for wards of police personnel

JAMMU: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh on Thursday sanctioned ‘meritorious scholarship’ of Rs1,30,800 in favour of wards of serving police personnel.
DGP has accorded sanction of meritorious scholarship in favour of 21 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the annual examination of class 12th during the academic session 2018. The scholarship has been granted out of Central Police Welfare Fund, an official statement read.
Four wards have been granted Rs 7,200 each for securing above 90% marks and 17 wards have been granted scholarship of Rs 6,000 each for securing 80% and above marks in the annual examination of class 12th, it read.
