Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chief Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Wednesday said that fiddling will Article 35-A will have “catastrophic ramifications” as it is related to the existence of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Agenda of the establishment is basically to erode the internationally recognized Kashmir dispute,” Sehrai said in a statement.
“All the segments of society are on the same page and there is a complete unanimity and among all with regard to resisting and fighting this serious assault on our existence together.
“Article 370 and 35-A is used as a tool by pro-India politicians to exploit Kashmiris who have been instrumental in abrogating these constitutional barriers to change the state subject laws and demography of the state,” TeH chief alleged.
Sehrai hailed the efforts of Bar Association for defending the state subject laws.
He also paid tributes to the slain militants killed in an encounter with the government forces in Budgam, and said that “their sacrifices can’t be forgotten and the mission would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs”.
“These brave hearts are laying their precious lives for our better tomorrow,” he added.
