Srinagar: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) of Tuesday paid tribute to the slain militant, Hilal Ahmad who was killed in a gunfight at south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In a statement, Hizb spokesman Saleem Hashmi quoted the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din said that “militants on hand are sacrificing their lives to achieve the goal (freedom) while as on the other, some people for their vested interests are playing the role of Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq.”
He also expressed grief over the demise of Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-din, saying that Mufti besides being a religious scholar was freedom loving person.
LeT spokesman Abdullah Ghaznawi in a statement quoted the outfit chief Mahmood Shah as saying “although we are grieved on the martyrdom of Bilal Ahmed but we are motivated on the loss of occupational forces’ commandos. The pro-freedom people who have rendered countless sacrifices for their freedom are always rejoiced on the loss of occupational forces. We are obliged to Allah SWT for such opportunities”.
LeT chief further said “morale, motives and ambitions of freedom fighters are higher than Himalayas. No power on earth can suppress such emotions.”
Shah supported the call of strike from Hurriyat leadership on 13th and 14th of February and said that “it is the matter of Kashmir’s existence. India can never change the demographic existence and recognition of Jammu Kashmir, otherwise India will have to bear severe consequences. The people will always react to such wrongdoings and vicious motives.”
