Srinagar: Clashes rocked Kakapora village in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district after a mysterious blast inside a school left over a dozen students injured.
Reports said that after the blast a team of Jammu and Kahsmir police reached the spot to ascertain the details and as the team was heading towards the school, youths pelted them with stones.
They said that the police resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the youth.
Meanwhile police in a statement said that at about 2:30 pm some explosion took place inside the class room of standard 10 of a private school (tuition centre) known as Falai-e-Millat at Narbal in district Pulwama.
“In this incident reportedly 12 students have sustained injuries. They were rushed to the hospital and stated to be stable.”
Police officers have reached at the spot and are ascertaining the nature and circumstances of the blast. “Case has been registered and investigation is in progress.”
