SRINAGAR: Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir has criticised the Governor administration for “failing” to address the situation following the recent snowfall and blockade of national highway.
Mir in a statement said government has utterly failed to facilitate the valley-bound passengers who are stranded at Jammu, to reach Srinagar.
“It is not the first time that such situation has arisen. Had there been a responsible government, people would not have faced such problems. It is the personal failure of Governor and Chief Secretary; they should forthwith make arrangements to airlift the stranded passengers,” Mir said.
“Government has not been able to clear all the routes of rural areas. It owes an apology to masses who have suffered and are suffering because of its failure,” DPN chief said.
