Elderly man hit by a cab at Tral succumbs

TRAL: A 68-year-old man who was hit by speeding cab on Sunday at Tral town in Pulwama district succumbed to his injuries on Monday at SMHS hospital Srinagar. Mohammad Maqbool Naik, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Tral was seriously injured after hit by a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03 -8427 at Tral town.

The injured was Immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral and was later referred to SMHS Srinagar hospital in serious condition where he succumbed to his injuries during night hours, SHO Tral Adil Ashraf told Kashmir Reader. The deceased was an ex-employee of animal husbandry department received seriously head injuries in the accident.

The driver of the Sumo vehicle Gurmeet Singh son of Omkar Singh, a resident of Baigund Tral was arrested and the vehicle involved in the accident seized. The driver of Sumo fled from scene soon after the incident. A case has been registered in this regard at police station Tral, SHO said.
