Srinagar: Deputy Mayor Srinagar, Shiekh Mohammad Imran on Sunday expressed grief over the loss of property in the fire incident at Karpora area of Brein on city outskirts.
Expressing his deep sympathies with the affected families who lost their shops in the fire accident, Imran said he has taken the matter with local Tehsildar and Patwari for speedy loss assessment with compensation.
Around 5 shops were completely damaged and turned into ashes in the fire incident on Friday.
Demanding proper and timely compensation, relief for the affected families, Imran said that he will personally look into the issue. “We will provide every possible support to the victims so that they could not face any problem in the prevailing climatic conditions,” he said.
Imran also expressed grief over the loss of eight lives at Jawahar Tunnel avalanche. He said it was sudden and nobody can stop natural disasters.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, prayed for peace to departed souls and strength to the members of their families in bearing the irreparable loss.
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, Imran demanded ex-gratia relief for the families and free of cost treatment to those injured in the incident.
