LEH: Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal along with Executive Councilor for Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin Sunday inspected the Fruit and Vegetable Market (Mandi ) Leh.
Chief Horticulture Officer Leh Tsewang Punchok and AEE Construction Division Leh Angchuk apprised CEC about the infrastructure facilities created at the site including Office cum residential building at a cost of Rs. 87 lacs and Auction Platform at a cost of Rs. 32 lacs which was completed last year.
Officials said the main purpose of the Mandi is to give modern market facilities for farmers of Leh where they can sell their produce including fresh fruit, vegetables, dry fruits, flowers and all kinds of cereals.
On the occasion CEC directed concerned department for making the mandi functional at earliest so that farmers of Leh could be benefited.
