SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK), the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), and the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, have expressed grief over the demise of Ghulam Hassan Tantray, former Law Secretary and former Chairman, BOPEE. He was the father of Suhail Ahmad Tantray, Senior Law Officer, Directorate of school Education, Kashmir.
A condolence meeting was held at the Directorate with Dr G N Ittoo in chair which prayed for peace to the departed soul. Heartfelt condolences and sympathies were also extended to the bereaved.
Mohammad Ashraf Bukhari, Chairman J&K BOPEE also chaired a condolence meeting and prayed for peace to the departed soul. The participants expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
The meeting remembered Tantray as a noble human being and an able officer who significantly contributed to the growth and development of various departments and institutions during his illustrious government service.
The Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs also convened a condolence meeting which was attended by Secretary Tribal Affairs and Co-operatives, Abdul Majid Bhat, Secretary Law Achal Sethi, Secretary Legislative Council Muzaffar Ahmed, Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and other senior officers.
Several officers while speaking on the occasion highlighted the contribution of Tantary in the law and other departments.
Heartfelt condolences and sympathies were also extended to the bereaved family.
