DGP condoles demise of DySP

JAMMU: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has condoled the death of Jamel Anjum Mir, DySP PCR Jammu who breathed his last this morning at Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana.
According to a statement, DGP visited Mir’s residence and expressed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. DGP assured the family that all possible help will be provided to them.
“Mir was appointed as Sub-Inspector in J&K police in the year 1989 and served in various positions. He was good swimmer and remained instrumental in conducting various state and national level sports events as DySP Sports APHQ and PHQ.” The statement said.
Mir was under treatment at DMC Ludhiana for last few days and breathed his last on Tuesday night.
DGP has also condoled the demise of SgCt Vikas Malhotra who breathed his last on Wednesday morning at Govt Medical College, Jammu. DGP has conveyed his sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
