SRINAGAR: Welcoming the release of senior resistance leaders, Khan Sopori and Farooq Towheedi, from long incarceration, Jammu Kashmir National Front has stressed upon the release of all Kashmiri political prisoners including its chairman Nayeem Khan who is languishing in Tihar jail since July 2017.
A party delegation visited the residence of Khan Sopori and Farooq Towheedi, inquired about their health and praised their steadfastness and resolve in the way of freedom struggle, a spokesperson of National Front said in a statement issued here.
He said imprisonments and incarcerations have yielded nothing but complicated the issue. “New Delhi must read writing on the wall that Kashmiri resistance leaders, activists and common people cannot be defeated by killings, arrests and other means of imperialism. So, it is high time for India to create an atmosphere of reconciliation by releasing all the Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in the state and outside jails. This only can prove fruitful to resolve the long pending Kashmir dispute,” he said.
