DDC for timely, accurate reporting of damages due to snowfall

KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, who is also Chairman of DDMA, convened a meeting with the officers of DDMA to discuss and review District Disaster Management Plan for the district.
During the discussion, all the line departments were informed about their role, responsibilities and duties under DDMP being formulated by the district administration.
DDC directed all the concerned officers to remain vigilant towards timely and accurate reporting of damages and losses occurring due to current snowfall and any other calamity and share photographs, videos immediately. He asked the officers to ensure that relief case of any calamity affected person/family is completed within week’s time and cautioned all the concerned Officers against any laxity in this regard.
In order to ensure hassle free connectivity at all levels for commuters, the DDC directed the officers to ensure that the snow clearance works on all affected roads are taken up and completed on war footing.
It was decided that a critical care ambulance shall be kept available to take care of any causality.
The DDC asked the officers to keep a provision of one snow clearance machine each at Nagseni and Chatroo HQs.
Among others the meeting was attended by ADDC, Imam Din, Commandant 52 CRPF, Suresh Kumar, SDM Marwah, Kesar Bhawani besides officers from Police, Army and district administration.
