SRINAGAR: All Jammu and Kashmir Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association on Monday held a protest demonstration here demanding removal of pay anomalies. Scores of protesters from forest department assembled in press enclave chanting slogans “We want Justice”. The protesting employees said that they are facing various kinds of risks while performing their professional duties. “We are demanding the government to fulfil our demands including removal of pay anomaly, release of two and half days extra salaries and risk allowance for frontline employees,” they said. They said they have been requesting the authorities to resolve their long pending demands, but no one is paying attention towards them. Junaid Ahmad Khan, one of the employees, said: “It is very unfortunate that the department has not framed any concrete policy to encourage its employees, who are performing their duties in the forests of Jammu and Kashmir with full of risk.” “The other employees in the department are enjoying their promotions and postings but the non-Gazetted employees are being ignored from the benefits,” he added. The protesters were also demanding DPC of All Cadres and reorganization of the department.
