Kupwara shuts to remember 1994 massacre victims

Kupwara: Complete shutdown was observed in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday to mark the anniversary of 1994 massacre in which 27 civilians were killed in alleged army firing. All shops and other business establishments including tuition centres remain closed while public transport was completely off the roads.
Hundreds of people including traders offered congregational Fateha prayers for the martyrs at different places including Mazar-e-Shuhada at Regipora, Kupwara.
