BUDGAM: Weeks after twin blind brothers from Budgam district secured distinction in 10 results, the duo were facilitated by the district administration Budgam with customised laptops and smartphones on Saturday.
The twin brothers, Arif Nabi Yatoo and Musavir Nabi Yatoo from Nagam Chadoora in Budgam, have scored 88% and 93% marks, respectively, in the state board’s class 10 exams.
The duo expressed pleasure over the timely support of district administration.
“Besides felicitating us, the officials took cognizance of the problems and issues that were hindering our studies. They felicitated us with smartphones and laptops,” Arif Nabi Yatoo said.
The boys wrote their board exams with the help of a scribe. Musavir scored 465 marks out of 500, just 31 short of the Kashmir topper, who secured 496.
They demand the government to give attention towards physically handicapped students of the Valley and provide them with every required facility so that they too could compete with other students.
Meanwhile, officials at the district level assured to provide them every facility needed for their bright future.
