Rajouri: A 44-year-old man from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir was killed after being hit with some sharp object in Saudi Arabia, his family said on Saturday.
The family said they can’t afford to bring back body of Mohammad Khalil Mirza son of Mohammad Azam Mirza of Darhal Rajouri and sought intervention of the Ministry of External Affairs.
“We came to know the body is lying there (Saudi Arabia) in a mortuary for the last couple of weeks,” slain Khalil’s brother, Mohammad Amin Mirza told GNS.
He said that his brother died after being hit with a sharp object at Amaan area of Riyadh where he was working as a labourer.
According to him, the slain did not contact his family since 22 December 2018.
“Yesterday a person from Pakistan administered Kashmir called us and informed that Khalil’s body is lying in a mortuary and his body was found with an injury in his head,” Amin said and made fervent plea to Government of India, to help bring back the body to Rajouri.
