Srinagar: Muslim League on Friday condemned “ill-treatment” meted out to the Kashmiri detainees, alleging they are “mentally and physically tortured”.
According to the statement, the acting chairman of ML – Ab. Ahad Parra claimed that pro-freedom leaders Feroz A Khan, Mufti Nadeem, Mushtaq A Hurra languishing in Haryana jail “are treated like criminals and put in dark narrow cells further deteriorating their health”.
“It is a political vendetta that detainees are ill-treated,” he said.
ML appealed to the human rights organisations to pressurise New Delhi “to stop this inhuman and undemocratic attitude”.
