Hizb militant arrested during naka checking in north Kashmir’s Bandipora: Police

Srinagar: A joint team of government forces including Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army’s 13 RR on Monday claimed to have arrested a militant during naka checking in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The “militant” has identified as Sarfaraz Ahmed Sheer, son off Muhammad Yousuf, a resident of Quil Muqam village in Bandipora district.

Police officials told Kashmir Reader that the militant was active since Oct 2014 and was affiliated with Hizb ul Mujahideen.
