JAMMU: Co-Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu and President Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra (HRAK), Rakesh Wazir on Saturday called on Chairman J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmed and had detailed discussion with regard to the working of the bank including liberal financing, initiatives under social responsibility scheme, new industrial development scheme floated recently by the government and bringing its awareness among entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the occasion, Wazir said since the new industrial package was for a limited period, “its maximum utilisation should be done so that more and more entrepreneurs of the state get benefitted”, adding “that is possible only if J&K Bank comes in full support of the entrepreneurs with liberal financing”, an official release read.
He said the bank should expedite funding further so that maximum people were able to complete their projects on time and to avail the incentives so that maximum employment was generated in the state.
Assuring Wazir that the bank would leave no stone unturned for the development of the industry in the state particularly, the tourism/service sector, Chairman J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmed said, “Although the system is very fast as for as financing and other activities of the bank are concerned but still directions down the line will be passed for expediting those further.”
He said that it was very important that more and more people invested in the state, so that maximum employment was generated and that the younger generation got maximum work opportunities in the state.
Parvez stressed for a joint campaign by J&K Bank, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Hotel Association in the shape of a seminar that would be fully sponsored by the bank and arranged by PHDCCI & HRAK.
He further said, “Since these incentives are for limited period and if the people are not enlightened, they will not come to know about those, and the very purpose of their floatation will get forfeited,” the releases added.
