DGP chairs review meeting at Jammu
JAMMU: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday chaired a review meeting in connection with 19th All India Police Band Competition, at police headquarters here.
J&K police is hosting the competition at Jammu from February 5, 2019.
According to a statement, DGP directed that all the committees constituted with different assignments must implement the plans with regard to the arrangements for accommodation, transport and other logistics in such a way that the participants should not face any difficulty.
DGP directed that all arrangements must be put in place for the opening and closing of the competitions and participation of public, students and civil society members should be ensured. He said that all the resources must be pooled and all the officers and officials should put in their best to make the competition a memorable occasion.
DGP emphasized for making the competition a hassle free event by making befitting arrangements of hospitality, by having perfect coordination among the different officers.
The competition is being held under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board and all state and union territories police forces are expected to participate in the competition.
The meeting was attended by ADGsP B Srinivas, A G Mir, M Suleman Salaria, Munir Ahmad Khan, IGsP M.K Sinha, Danesh Rana, S A Mujtaba, Anand Jain, Alok Kumar, and other senior officers.
