Srinagar: The Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged gunfire at forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday. The two armies have resorted to shelling at each others posts for the fourth time in last two days.

On Tuesday, the two armies exchanged fire and shelled the cross-LoC military posts. Defence sources, according to reports, said that Pakistan shelled the Indian military posts and civilian areas in Poonch despite serious objections raised by the Indian Army in the recent past.

On Saturday, the two armies resorted to heavy shelling and firing along the LoC in the Mankote, Khadi Karmara and Gulpur areas. Similar incidents were reported on Thursday, Wednesday and Tuesday as well.
