Unrelenting cold wave holds grip on Kashmir

Srinagar: Intense cold wave continued across Kashmir on Tuesday as temperatures plummeted below freezing point.

The Kashmir weather office has said that the weather would remain same during the next 48 hours.

Srinagar recorded minus 2.0 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 4.9 degrees and Gulmarg minus 3.2 degrees as the minimum temperatures on Tuesday.

Leh town recorded minus 8.9 degrees Celsius and Kargil minus 15.0 degrees.

Jammu city recorded 7.8 degrees Celsius, Katra 7.4, Batote minus 0.5, Bannihal 1.2 and Bhaderwah minus 0.7 as the night’s lowest temperatures
