DDC Anantnag inspects PHC Sagam, SDH Kokernag

Anantnag: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik on Monday inspected PHC Sagam and SDH Kokernag and enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients there.
DDC also visited various sections and wards of PHC Sagam and SDH Kokernag and met various indoor and outdoor patients.
He also directed the authorities to provide all medicare facilities besides the heating arrangements to the patients.
Meanwhile, DDC also took stock of the post snow restorations in key sectors like health, PHE, PDD and R&B. Grievance redressal interactive Public Darbars were also organised at Tehsil headquarters of Kokernag and Larnoo which were chaired by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag.
A large number of inhabitants from the adjacent villages of both tehsils participated in the Darbar. The DDC took stock of the post snow restoration of particular clearance of roads, supply of power, drinking water and repairs of damaged transformers.
During the Darbar, inhabitants of the concerned villages raised various demands and problems being faced by them with regard to power, water supply, construction of lanes, drains, road widening, approach roads to the villages and repairs of damaged transformers.
The DDC directed the PHE department to connect the Zalangam village from the spring source for which funds to the tune of Rs 4 lacs for the procurement of pipes will be provided by district Administration.
He also directed PDD to provide new transformer as the old one has become defunct and also directed to provide transformers to the other villages also from the transformer bank.
Regarding health, DDC was apprised with the shortage of doctors at various health institutions besides, filling of posts of vacant teachers as the students in various educational institutions in both the tehsils suffer.
He also directed for providing basic facilities to the far flung areas and Gujjars of tehsil Kokernag and Larnoo who also put forth various demands regarding water supply, LT/HT conductor and transformers.
