SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir on Monday reviewed progress on digitisation of land records in the district being carried out under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DLRMP), at a meeting of Revenue Department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Handwara, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
The DC called upon the officers to accelerate the pace of digitisation towards realising the objectives of modernising the management of land records. He said that the government has set June 2019 as deadline for the completion of the process. He impressing upon the concerned authorities to mobilise all efforts in this direction. Moreover, he directed for prioritising the work of Jamabandi strictly in conformity with the Standing instructions and said that updated Jamabandis are the pre-requisite for the implementation of the project.
Meanwhile, the DC directed revenue officials to work with close coordination and maintain regular dairy of their activities besides conducting regular field visits.
