Ganderbal: Police have arrested a bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession at Gund area of central Kashmir’s Gandrbal district on late Sunday evening.
The officials said a police party laid a naka at main market Gund and intercepted one person on suspicious grounds.
During frisking and questioning, they said, 15 bottles of illicit liquor of 750 ml each were recovered from his possession.
The accused person has been identified as Amjid Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Muhammad Khan a resident of Munshi Krant, Baramulla.
A case FIR No. 1/2019 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered in police station Gund.
