Srinagar: National Front on Saturday hailed sacrifices rendered by political prisoners lodged in state and outside jails, saying these political prisoners are nourishing the resistance movement by spending precious days of their lives behind bars.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: “Hundreds of political prisoners, including the National Front chairman, Nayeem Khan are facing hardships. They have been booked in ‘fake and fabricated’ cases, but the irony is that even judiciary is not paying heed to their plight. These prisoners are subjected to political vendetta.”
The National Front spokesman appealed the international community to take note of human rights violations in Kashmir and take steps to get these prisoners released.
The statement further said that the National Front paid tributes to all the slain militants and civilians. “The best way to pay homage to these brave hearts is to remember their mission at any cost,” it reads.
