Srinagar:Train services were suspended in the Kashmir valley on Saturday due to heavy snowfall.

Railway officials told Kashmir Reader that the train service has been suspended in the valley Saturday due to heavy snowfall across the valley. “The rail tracks are under one to two feet of snow,” they said, “therefore trains cannot chug.”

“No train will chug on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir with Banihal in Jammu region,” they said

Train service will be resumed only after the weather improves and snow on the tracks is cleared, they said.
