DDC Budgam inaugurates free coaching centre at Budgam

Stresses on proper heating arrangements, quality education to students

BUDGAM: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Syed Sehrish Asgar on Wednesday inaugurated winter coaching centre established to provide free coaching to students at different locations across the district.
During her visit to the coaching centre, established at Middle School, Khanpora, the DDC interacted with trainers and teachers to enquire about the process and status of teaching, an official handout read.
During her inspection to classrooms, the DDC interacted with students and parents and took feedback from them about the arrangements and facilities being provided at these coaching centres. She also enquired about the process of training and teaching provided by the trainers, hired from outside state.
The DC directed the concerned to ensure proper heating as well as seating arrangements, besides quality education to the students at every coaching center, read the handout.
On the occasion, the DDC was informed that 10 free coaching centers have been started across District Budgam to provide basic maths coaching to 3rd standard to 8th standard students. “Presently, over 1000 students mostly underprivileged, who can’t afford coaching during winters, are being taught math and other subjects at these centres,” it read, adding that two math trainers from Telangana have been hired to train local teachers and supervise the overall functioning of these coaching centres.
Local residents expressed their gratitude to the DC Budgam for opening these free coaching centres in the district and arranging all the required arrangements for their wards at these centres.
They said that such coaching centres were need of the hour and have helped their wards to learn maths to the very extent and other subjects too without paying any fee to anyone, it added.
