Srinagar: JK Cements Employees Association on Wednesday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding release of salaries pending for last five months.

Scores of protesting employees of JK Cements assembled in Pratap Park and marched towards the press enclave, chanting slogans against the Manging Director of the government-owned company.

Holding placards “Release our salary”, “Release our pending welfare fund”, “Deposit our pending welfare fund”, “Release our DA” and “Save JK cement”.

Ali Mohammad Kumar, chairman of the employees association said that from last five months they are suffering from lot of financial crisis.
“We have approached authoritirs many times requesting them to release our salaries. It is unfortunate that nobody is listening to us,” he said.
