AAC holds meet

Srinagar: Youth Awami Action Committee (AAC) Tuesday held a meeting here and the recent attempts of desecration the Jamia Masjid was condemned.

According to the statement, the meet was chaired by chaired by youth president of AAC – Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad.

Sufi Mushtaq said the Jamia Masjid Srinagar has historical importance on religious, social and political fronts as the Member-o-Mehrab of the Mosque since centuries is central stage to the address the problems faced by the people of Kashmir.

He said the incident has disheartened the people of Kashmir and have undoubtedly wounded the religious and social sentiments of the people of Kashmir.

“Such incident can’t be tolerated and any efforts to damage the sanctity of Jamia Masjid will be frightened with tooth and nail,” he said, adding the sanctity of Jamia Masjid lives in the deep chambers of the hearts of Kashmiri Muslims.
