Baramulla: Bar Association Baramulla suspended work on Monday and passed a resolution demanding time-bound judicial inquiry into the killing of seven civilians in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Saturday.
“We strongly condemn the killing of civilians in Pulwama. We have passed a resolution in which we have demanded a time-bound judicial inquiry headed by sitting judge of the high court into the killings” BAB president Advocate Abdul Salam Rather told Kashmir Reader.
“We demand Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court takes the suo motu notice of such unabated human rights violations by government forces, so that the culprits are brought to justice,” he added.
The Association expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery for the injured.
