SKUAST-K felicitates poultry skill development trainees

Srinagar: In a 40-days skill development training for small poultry farmers organised by SKUAST-K and sponsored by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, trainees were felicitated here on Saturday in a function for starting their own poultry farms.
According to the statement, chicks were also distributed free of cost among all the 20 participants for starting their own poultry units. On this occasion, the chief guest, Dean of Faculty Professor Shakeel Ahmad Wani addressed the participants and encouraged them for setting up their own poultry units.
Professor Wani stressed upon collaborative approach between the poultry farmers and the University for improving the sustainability of poultry enterprise.
M.T. Banday, Professor and Head Division of LPM, gave the details of the training programme and assured the participants of all the technical guidance pertaining to poultry rearing in future also.
