Demand release of pending salary, regularisation of services

BARAMULLA: The casual employees of the Central Cooperative Bank Baramulla staged a protest on Wednesday against the bank authorities for release of their salaries which is pending from past several months.
The reports said that all the casual employees of central cooperative bank Baramulla on Wednesday assembled in front of bank headquarters in Baramulla and staged protest for their pending salaries and regularisation.
“We are without wages from past several months and our services have not been regularised despite promises by the authorities several years ago,” the protesting employees said.
They alleged that there is a lot of ‘embezzlement’ in the bank and government should take action against the officials.
They said that due to shortage of salaries their families are facing hardships. “Sometimes we can’t pay the school fee of our children,” they said.
The protesters said that government should intervene into the matter so that our pending salaries will be released and our services will be regularised.
