Literary, cultural orgs protest against ‘excluding’ Kashmiri language from portal

SRINAGAR: Valley’s literary and cultural organisations on Saturday held a protest against the HRD ministry’s decision of in which Kashmiri language has been excluded from ‘Bhasha Sangam’ portal.
The organisations which participated included: Gulshan Cultural Forum Kashmir, Bazm-e-Adab Batpora Kanihama, Bazm-e-Fan Bangil, Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg, Teachers Forum Zone Magam, Narbal and Pattan, a statement read.
Condemning this “unjustified decision”, the organisations unanimously passed a resolution to effectively stress upon withdrawal of the said decision. “This decision was felt to be an attack not only on Kashmiri language but a heinous crime against Kashmiryat and Kashmiri nation.
The participants include: Syed Bashir Kousar, Latief Niyazi, Hilal Kashmiri, Abdul Ahad Dilbar, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, Gulshan Badrani, Abdul Ahad Dildar, Abdul Ahad Shahbaz, Khurshid Khamosh, Aziz Hilal, Maqbool Shaida, Ateeq-ul-llah Ateeq, Mohammad Akbar Kalan, Nazir Shahid, Aashiq Makhami, Idrees Badrani, Abdul Rashid Shahbaz and Ameer-ud-din Bekas, the statement added.
