Srinagar: The Kashmir Transporters Welfare Federation Saturday held a peaceful protest demonstration here in Srinagar against the human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Scores of transporters assembled at Pratap Park in Srinagar and chanted slogans against the human rights violations.

The protest demonstration, they said, was held on the call of Joint Resistance Leadership who have asked people to protest the HR violations and observe December 3-9 as human rights week.

Chairman of the federation Sheikh Muhammed Yousuf said: “The drivers from various sections of society including Auto Drivers, Sumo drivers, Mini bus Service drivers and KMD Drivers participated in the protest”.
